Who we are
Bekeson Glass, LLC is a woman-owned small business founded in 2004 specializing in the manufacture of specialty glass powders, frits, spheres, flaked and water-quenched glass for industrial applications in quantities ranging from a few hundred pounds during process development, to hundreds of tons at full production. The company’s focus is on applications requiring stringent control of glass composition and physical properties of the end product.
Bekeson Glass manufacturing operations are located in a 55,000 square foot facility in Flowood, Mississippi. The manufacturing process begins with formulating, batching and blending the powdered and granular materials from which each specific glass is made. This mixture is fed into a specially designed electric melter. The molten glass exits the furnace and is further processed in accordance with specific product requirements to form flakes, frits, powders or spherical particles (beads).
In addition to full-scale production equipment, Bekeson Glass’s pilot processing line includes a one-tenth scale electric furnace, batching equipment, and milling and screening operations, allowing for small scale process development and testing. This facilitates seamless transition from product development to large quantity production of hundreds of tons.
